Raz's abilities
The following is a rundown of Raz's psychic abilities as they appear in the game Psychonauts. It will be updated regularly as he progresses through canon.
- Mental Shielding: Raz's natural defenses against psychic intrusion are exceptionally strong. Coach Oleander describes his mind as being "armored like a tank." It's by no means impossible to read or influence his thoughts, but it takes a great deal of effort (and/or technological assistance) to do so.
- Telekinesis (novice): Raz can psychically move and carry small, lightweight objects that are within a roughly 1-meter radius of his body. He also uses light telekinesis to enhance his agility and melee combat.
- Psychic Punch: an oversized telekinetic "hand" to increase the power of a melee strike.
- Double Jump: a short-lived bubble of psychic energy that allows Raz to jump in midair.
- Ground Pound: Raz jumps into the air and then telekinetically throws himself against the ground, creating a small shockwave.
- Telepathy (novice): Raz sometimes "hears" the thoughts of the people around him without intending to. In RP, this will never happen without the mun's permission.
- Acrobatics & Tumbling (not a psychic power, but worth mentioning): Raz was born into a family of circus acrobats and has been training for that work since early childhood. As such, he is skilled in various forms of acrobatics, and his agility, balance, and upper body strength are significantly higher than those of the average ten-year-old. These abilities carry over into the mental world as well.
